Community Post: Highlights From Courtney Love"s Feud With The Muppets



Proving that she can get into a feud with absolutely anyone (or thing), last month Courtney Love attacked the people behind The Muppets for spoofing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in the film. Love claims she never gave the filmmakers permission to use the song in the movie. They say that’s irrelevant because she sold the rights to Nirvana’s catalog to the company Primary Wave, which okayed the performance along with surviving band members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.


This week Love made a (rather inefficient) attempt to explain her side of the story by posting a lengthy comment on Gothamist and attacking the film’s writer/star Jason Segel on Twitter. Here are some of Love’s thoughts on the matter.
